Pickleball has properly arrived in Taipei. There are over 100 courts across Taiwan now, the community is genuinely welcoming to visitors, and you can find a game most days of the week, free outdoor parks, indoor clubs with AC, even a court inside a department store.

One of the most visually striking indoor venues in Taipei, multiple courts inside the Yuanshan park area, with a VIP court (Lane 1) that comes with its own private lounge. If you want somewhere that feels like an event rather than just a session, this is it.

Pick Le Mode in Neihu offers a boutique private-bay experience — 3 standard indoor courts and 1 coaching practice court, each section designed for privacy rather than the open social floor plan of most clubs. Opened for trial operations in August 2026.

A 24-hour unmanned venue in Neihu, fully automated entry, clean courts, air conditioning, and a genuinely simple online booking system. Free paddles and balls provided on-site, plus a water dispenser. Connect your phone to the TV and play your own playlist.

Four courts across two levels in Xinzhuang, loft design, green plants, a big lounge area for the post-game hangout. Consistently rated by local players as the best vibe of any indoor court in Greater Taipei. Worth knowing: it's air-conditioned but can feel a bit warm on busy evenings, so plan accordingly.

Pickle Day Social Club 匹克日俱樂部
Two locations worth knowing: four indoor courts in Zhonghe (New Taipei City), and an city court inside Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A11 in Xinyi. The Zhonghe location runs structured Open Play sessions — good if you want to meet people. Both locations run beginner intro courses regularly, so first-timers are genuinely welcome here.

Triple Ace & P.DANG
Six courts in Danshui, New Taipei City — big indoor pickleball venue in the Taipei area. Wide courts, plenty of space, air conditioning, a water dispenser, toilets, and even a small snack shop. Parking is easy. . Drop-in is NT$200 — one of the best value options if you just want to play without booking a full court.

蘆沐匹克球俱樂部
Clean courts, full-height ceilings so no worrying about lob shots, changing rooms with showers, lockers, and a seating area to hang around after. Parking nearby is easy. One of the more complete facilities in the area for anyone who wants to play and then properly freshen up after.

Free Outdoor Courts
Youth Park 青年公園
Two courts in Wanhua, shared with badminton and marked with taped lines. Open until midnight. Active morning and evening, every day.There's a regular community here morning and evening, and the social energy is high.
Huazhong Riverside Park 華中河濱公園
Four courts with windbreak nets along the riverbank in Wanhua, open until midnight with lighting. Slightly cooler in the evenings because of the river, though mosquitoes are some, so bring repellent.
Between Machangting Memorial Park and Shuangyuan Pumping Station.
Under Macsher Bridge 麥帥一橋下
A free outdoor court on the Keelung River bank, in the area between Rainbow Riverside Park and Chengmei Zuoan Riverside Park. One of the more under-the-radar free spots in the city — worth bookmarking if you're in the eastern part of town.
Zhishan Park 至善公園
Two courts in Shilin, near the National Palace Museum. Fixed community sessions run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 2pm. The level here tends to skew higher — a good option if you're 3.5+ and want competitive rotation play rather than casual hitting.
New Taipei Metropolitan Park
二重疏洪道大都會棒球場旁（近疏洪十二路側）
Eight dedicated pickleball courts near the Erchong Floodway in Sanchong. Standard lines, permanent nets, evening lighting until 10pm. The scale means it's rarely crowded.
Mingde Park 明德公園
One dedicated court with standard lines in Beitou, open 9am–6pm. Limited hours because of the residential surroundings, but walkable from Mingde MRT Station on the Red Line.
How to Get Into the Community as a Visitor
Join Taiwan International Pickleball (TIP) on Facebook. The main English-language group in Taipei. Post a quick intro — your dates, where you're staying, your rough level (2.5–4.5 scale). Someone will point you to the right session.
Or just show up. Youth Park, Zhishan Park, and New Taipei Metropolitan Park are all genuinely drop-in friendly. Add your paddle to the queue, introduce yourself, and you're playing within 15 minutes.
For indoor play: DOPE, Pickle Day, and Huashan MAJI all take advance bookings. Book a few days ahead for evenings and weekends.
Download LINE before you arrive. Almost all session coordination in Taipei happens on LINE — you'll need it.
A Note on Seasons
October through March is the sweet spot for outdoor play — mild, dry, comfortable. June through August is hot, humid, and typhoon season. Most regular players head indoors from June and return to outdoor courts when October comes around. If you're visiting in summer, the indoor venues are worth it.
